Voice of the Global South: Can Brics do more than vocalize a vision for the world order?
India’s 2026 chairship has consequently highlighted what Brics could realistically become. New Delhi has sought to keep geopolitics on the agenda without allowing it to consume the group. The New Delhi Declaration addressed conflicts, terrorism, United Nations reform and multipolarity, but the larger agenda remained developmental: health, food and energy security, technology, artificial intelligence, digital public infrastructure, critical minerals, supply chains and financial cooperation.
