Perfume makers feel ethanol squeeze, weigh price hikes
India’s perfume market grew from ₹7,000-8,000 crore in 2019-20 to ₹12,000-14,000 crore in 2024-25 and is projected to swell to ₹23,000–28,000 crore by 2029-30, implying a 14-15% annual growth, according to business management consultant Wazir Advisors. Mid- and mass-market perfumes priced below ₹4,000 account for about 75-85% of the market.
