At least 11 killed, 30 others in suspected suicide-bombing in Pakistan’s Dera Ismail Khan

At least 11 people were killed and 30 others injured in a blast near Aman Mela in the Darazinda area of Dera Ismail Khan, Rescue 1122 said on Saturday.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Ahmad Faizi said ambulances were providing immediate medical assistance to the injured at the site and transporting them to nearby hospitals, Express Tribune reported.

Additional ambulances and rescue personnel from Karak and Hangu have also reached the area to assist in search and rescue operations, Faizi said.

Initial reports suggest that a vehicle-borne suicide bomber (SVBIED) targeted the Aman Mela Police Checkpoint in Darazinda, Dera Ismail Khan.

Unconfirmed videos on X showed debris scattered on the ground in a rural area, with smoke arising from the vehicle which was used in the detonation.
