Airlines can claim GST refunds on cancelled tickets if tax amount is returned to passengers: GST Appellate Tribunal
The GST Appellate Tribunal has ruled that airlines can claim GST refunds on cancelled tickets if they return the fare and tax to passengers and provide supporting documents. It directed the tax department to refund ₹45.92 lakh to Singapore Airlines with applicable interest.
