Pressing pause on the race to develop frontier AI isn't impossible—Here's what can be done
Policy could exploit this industry’s big chokepoint of AI-chip supply to restrain its development beyond the limits deemed safe. Whether there should be a pause is for policymakers to decide. But they should recognize that it is feasible and, if implemented properly, likely to be sustainable.
