Fairfax’s IDBI Bank deal puts CSB Bank’s ownership and future in focus
IDBI, which is already facing labour union challenges, would absorb over 8,000 employees and 862 branches of CSB, mostly in south India, in case of a merger. Also, CSB only recently completed a large technology overhaul, and a merger would mean a second migration, he added.
