Samsung Galaxy S26 FE launched with One UI 9, 50MP camera and 4,900mAh battery
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has revealed the Galaxy S26 FE, a new “Fan Edition” variant to its Galaxy S26 series. The smartphone will be the first to be shipped with One UI 9, with its camera upgrades, Galaxy AI features and long-term software support.
Samsung says the Galaxy S26 FE will be available for purchase in some regions from September 4. The phone comes with a slim design, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and an Exynos 2500 processor. It will come in blueberry, graphite and pistachio colours.
The Galaxy S26 FE is equipped with a triple-camera setup. It has a 50MP main sensor camera, an ultra-wide sensor camera with 12MP, and an 8MP telephoto sensor camera that has 3x optical zoom and OIS.
The phone also gets a 12MP front camera. According to Samsung, its Nightography technology helps to enhance low-light photo capture, and the enhanced image processing capabilities are expected to improve still photo and video capabilities.
The Galaxy S26 FE also introduces My FanCam, which automatically follows a selected person while recording video. Available for smoother footage, particularly when in motion, is Super Steady with Horizontal Lock.
The phone has Samsung’s One UI 9 software running on Android 17. It has several AI-driven features to help simplify everyday tasks.
Now Brief has been updated with customisable cards, and now Nudge can give suggestions as per notifications and activity. Google can even find multiple objects within an image at once with Circle to Search.
With Photo Assist, changes are made to images in natural language. The phone also has Gemini Omni to edit and create video clips with content stored in the Gallery.
The Galaxy S26 FE has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that offers 1,900 nits of peak brightness at up to a 120 Hz refresh rate.
It comes with a 4,500mAh battery and allows 45W wired charging. The phone is said to be capable of charging up to 69% in approximately 30 minutes using a 45W adapter. It also has wireless charging up to 15W.
The Galaxy S26 FE will get up to seven OS updates and security updates for seven years, Samsung claims. The phone is also IP68 water resistant and dustproof. The device will be available with 8GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage, depending on the market. In the announcement, Samsung hasn’t revealed the pricing or availability details in India.
