Many of the fastest-growing states and Union territories also delivered the largest reductions in urban inequality, among them Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Bihar, Uttarakhand and Odisha. A similar rural pattern shows up in Puducherry, Karnataka, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and others.
